Custom Inventory API Integration (Shopify)
9thCO developed a custom Node.js application (using MongoDB and GraphQL) as a Shopify app to seamlessly integrate a third-party inventory API into our client's existing Shopify site.
The Challenge
Noisy Carts sells luxury brands from all over the world. In order to maintain their catalog, they need to pull inventory from APIs provided by distributors. The Shopify app they were using to pull data was error-prone, required manual data cleansing and wasn’t updating in real time.
The Solution
9thCO created an entirely custom Node.js application to sync with distributor APIs at set intervals, with job queue for persistence and necessary CRUD operations. Rule-based data manipulation was implemented, which entirely removed the need for manual product editing.
